At the beginning of summer and in the middle of the Effekt Science Festival in Karlsruhe, Germany, the last Mobile Nucleus took place!
As an experimental action, our partners from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology invited kids and families to represent their imaginaries of how a scientist looks like. They provided materials and asked them to draw a scientist.
“We saw what they drew (men/women, people of different colours, stereotypical lab coats or other things) and had discussions with the parents in the meanwhile. That worked out pretty well, and we also had a large fraction of international kids participating and lots of good discussions on diversity and inclusion in science (communication) with their parents and other visitors” said Phillip Schrögel.
This is the last activity as RRI in tiny formats, the so-called Mobile Nuclei. Want more information? Visit our Repository!
