SUMMARY:NUCLEUS Annual Conference 2015
DESCRIPTION:An international perspective requires an international team – but establishing a collective understanding of the challenge at hand\, and the approach to be taken\, is best engaged by meeting face to face and bridging those geographic distances. Partners representing sixteen organisations in the NUCLEUS consortium met at Rhine-Waal University in October 2015 to kick off the project and lay the foundation for the next four years of mutual learning and support. \nOne of the key outcomes of the conference was the decision to adopt the EU definition of Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI). This definition is more open than the traditional “six keys” definition to issues of scientific process and social outcomes. This decision was made based on group discussion following the keynote speech by René von Schomberg\, a key influencer in RRI. \nFor more details\, see the conference report. \n
